Auditions
We're looking for singers with exceptional performance abilities who love to interact with their audience! Our professional carolers perform as impeccable acapella SATB quartets, so tight harmonies and blend are an absolute must; ability to read music is important. We work with some of the best singers in the state, so we compensate our performers accordingly.

We are looking for singers from all areas of Connecticut. We do not engage singers who do not live in CT.
Availability can often be a determining factor in casting. Please consider what your schedule is like from Thanksgiving through Christmas and whether you have enough availability to accept a reasonable number of gigs.
There are 6 required Sunday evening rehearsals from 5-8pm in New Britain (Oct. 11, 18, 25, Nov. 8, 15, 22).
Once virtual submissions close on August 15, we will invite selected vocalists to an in-person callback so we can hear how you sound in a quartet. We’ll have you sing two songs with a quartet – sheet music and rehearsal MP4 files will be provided in advance. We'll be listening for blend and balance, among other things.
ALTO singers: please note that the alto is the group leader – setting tempos, selecting songs, moving the quartet through the venue, and being the point person communicating with the client during the performance. An extra stipend is included for this position.
GUIDELINES FOR YOUR VIDEO/AUDIO SUBMISSIONS
Please submit 2 songs of contrasting style (traditional/classical and contemporary)
At least one should be a Christmas song.
Your submission files should feature just you. If it features a group, make sure it's easy for us to identify your voice - i.e., via a solo line or telling us what you're wearing.

ABOUT US
For over 20 years, the Connecticut Yuletide Carolers have presented charming Victorian-dressed quartets that bring a cappella holiday favorites to events around the state, including town holiday celebrations, senior residences and centers, shopping centers, private functions, and public events. We've also appeared in the Hallmark Channel movies One Royal Holiday; Next Stop, Christmas; and Trivia at St. Nick's.
New Carolers will receive sheet music and rehearsal MP4s in advance of the first rehearsal and are expected to review music in advance.
Major costume pieces will be provided by the producer.
You must have your own transportation, although the group is encouraged to carpool when possible.
The performance season runs November through New Year; your personal performance hours are determined by your availability.
Thank you for your interest!
